Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas. Hailee was so excited when she walked down the stairs and to find that Santa left her presents. She was really excited to see the jump-o-lene. She got some play food that is made of wood and has velcro that holds the pieces together so that she can cut them in half, she loved to show everyone how she could cut the food. My parents gave her a Dora talking backpack, that she was so excited to open and play with. She didn't want anyone to play with it. She was having a hard time sharing her new toys, she loved everything that she got. We got Ruger a gift that had a few stuffed toys and some dog treats. She ripped into the package to get everything out. It was a fun Christmas!

Family Pics

Last Saturday was a fun filled day for us!! We went to our friends house in Eagle Mountain and had Lori cut my hair. She then was way nice and took some family pics of us at an old train station in Lehi. It wasn't too bad of weather unless you were in the wind. Hailee did so good and Lori got way cute pics of her. Hailee loved it and had fun going around to the different spots (her photo blog http://www.photobylori.blogspot.com/). Lori did an awesome job and we were so happy with the results. After that we went and grabbed lunch at one of Jimmy's favorite places to eat, One Man Band (it is similar to Training Table, but Jimmy says it better). We then headed to Cabela's to walk around. It was way busy there!! Hailee loves to go to Cabela's to see the big fish tank and the animals. We had a great time spending so much time together!!

Snow and more snow

We got a lot of snow this last storm. We had so much that our porch that you have to step down a step onto the grass was level with the step.

Hailee thought that she would just walk out into the snow and fell right in. Hailee wasn't too sure of what to do in the snow and wasn't too sure after that.
We tried to make a snowman, but it was too powderey and wouldn't stick together. I had her jump of the porch into the snow and she really liked to do that.

I tried to get her to make a snow angel, but she couldn't quite get what I was telling her to do, but she did like the snow and playing in it.

Popcorn Balls

We were invited to share in a fun FHE with the DeMelo's. We made popcorn balls and let the kids decorate them with candy. We made them so that they could hang them on the Christmas tree. I think that they ate more of the sprinkles and candy then they got on the popcorn balls. It was a fun evening.

Cookies and Christmas Dress

We had some pictures done with Hailee and her cousins on Sat in their Christmas dresses. Hailee was so excited to wear her new dress. I haven't let her wear it since it was for Christmas. If asked what she wants to wear, she always wants to wear a dress. Jimmy put her in her dress for church today and when we got home I couldn't resist not taking a picture of her in her dress by the tree.

Since Hailee is older and she likes to cook, I thought that we could make a small batch of sugar cookies. I had a mix that only needs an egg and butter, so we mixed it together.

She loved to roll it out and cut the cookies out with the cutters. It wasn't the best mix to try and cut out cookies, they turned out really flat and not very good.

So we will make cookies again, from scrtach with the reciepe I love. Hailee had fun playing!!

Christmas Party

We got together with my family for the West Christmas party. Hailee loved being with her cousins and had a great time. I of course forgot my camera, so my phone was the only other option. We took Hailee's present for her to open with the other kids. She got a princess tote that had a blow dryer (that actually works with batteries, it only blows out a little air), curling iron, a flat iron, brush, pretend lipstick and perfume, and a brush. She absolutely loves it!! We got home and she had to fix my hair to look pretty. She even had to use the blow dryer and curl Jimmy's hair.

Nothing much...

Just a couple of recent pics of Hailee. Not a whole lot of things have been going on that is really exciting. Hailee had her 2 year old pics done, I was a little late, but it was just what I expected. She didn't want anything to do with the process. She would just cry and wouldn't sit by herself. I wish the photographer would have spent some more time with her. She was getting comfortable and then photographer decided to stop and say "That's all we will probably get out of her". I wasn't the happiest that she wouldn't really try. I had to tell her what to do and props to use. Never will go there again. I thought that this shirt was very cute, and I of course had to get a couple of pics with her in it. So other than that, I have been working on some more bows and have come up with a couple more craft ideas that I want to make, eventually. We are getting excited for Thanksgiving and the holidays. I am especially excited for Black Friday. I am crazy, but I love being out there and shopping with all the crazy people!!

Ducks and Cousin

Jimmy's brother and his wife came to visit for a few days. They had their new baby blessed and we were able to see Aniston. What a cute little baby she is. I came home from work on Monday and Hailee's cousin Bryson was there visiting with Jimmy's brother. I thought that the ducks had all left the canal since there isn't any water left, but as I drove past they were there. We went on a little walk and fed the ducks. They had fun feeding the ducks and they must have been pretty hungary cause they came right up to them. We went back home and had the rest of Jimmy's family come over and we had a little party and celebrated Nov. birthdays with pizza and yummy cake! Hailee had a good time with Bryson and loved having him around to hang out with.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Friday night we went to my brother's house to their trunk or treat. Hailee was a little hesitant at first, but when she figured out that when you say "Trick or Treat" someone give you a treat for your bucket, it didn't take long to get the hang of it. On Sat. we went to my mom's house and had mummy dogs and caramel apples. We then went trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood, Hailee was unsure if she wanted to go to the door, but just like before, she caught on. Her first sucker she wanted it opened to eat it, I had to hide it from her cause she kept stopping and pulling it out and wanted to eat it. I think that Hailee's most favorite part was seeing her cousins. She loves to be with them and follow the older ones around.

Fall Leaves

My attempts to get some kind of fall leaf pictures. Since Hailee does not like to be smiling or be in pictures, this is all I got.

We went to Idaho for the weekend and in my in-laws yard they had these bushes. Since the weather is suppose to change and snow, I don't think I will make it to the mountains to see the leaves there, I got what I could before they are all gone. I love these bushes they are so bright!! I love fall and the colors, just hate when it starts to snow. Hailee went and saw the cows and chickens and doesn't like to be close to either. She now has a fear of more things that never bothered her before.

Pumpkin Patch

The last few weeks...

This is what has been going on...

Hailee likes to try and dress herself without any help until she gets mad cause she can't get something on. She will then ask for help. She like to put on her shoes the most, cause they are easier than pants.

Grandma and Grandpa Lane came for a visit during conference weekend. Hailee loves to see them and loves to hang out with Grandpa Lane. She was wearing his hat around the house.

I just got some more ribbon, cause I am a nut when it comes to ribbon. Anyways, I got this 3 inch piece of ribbon that is neon. I first tied it on Ruger and told Jimmy he wouldn't loose her for their nightly walks, he then put it on his head and was telling Hailee that he was a ninja. Hailee copied and now she is Hailee Ninja. We were cracking up watching her play ninja.

Hailee likes to take pictures. I have tried to show her the right way to take them, but she always turns the camera around and then says "cheese" and takes random pictures of herself. I tell her to turn the camera around and she turns her whole body around in circles, funny.

Mopping

As I was cleaning, Hailee decided that she wanted in the fun, she usually likes to help.

She grabbed her baby and took over the mopping..

Later she decided that packing a baby around while trying to clean was too much so...

she decides to sit, hold the baby and mop. Never to let me help cause it's "Hailee's turn". At least part of the floor will be clean!!

Our 3 Day Adventure

We were going to be in California now, but with some unexpected things, we had to change our plans. We went to visit Jimmy's parents in Idaho for a couple of days. We left early on Thurs and made the trip to Idaho. Hailee hasn't been there since before she was crawling. We got there and she thought it was cool to run around, she really didn't know where we were till she saw her grandpa. She was so excited to see her grandparents. We went for a walk and saw that cows, she loved to watch them and didn't want to leave them.

Hailee just doesn't like to get her pictures taken for some reason and I was trying to get a cute picture of her standing in front of the corn for a fall picture, she wasn't too happy.

I went with Jimmy's mom to a Craft store and Hailee came along. I fell in love with this store, it is called Craft Warehouse. Way cute ideas and things to buy and the best part was is was all pretty much at a discounted price. We got some glass blocks and some dye for the glass and bought some vinyl, they turned out not too bad!

I also am on the enrichment board and our super Saturday is coming in a few weeks and I needed to make examples of some of the things were are going to do. I was in deep thought and was looking at the paint and trying to see what would look best and rummaging through the ideas running in my head and then Hailee interrupts me.....

Look Mommy I put on makeup, she had grabbed a paint brush and opened a paint bottle and was applying it to her face, this is after I took it away from her and she wanted to keep putting on pretty makeup. I usually watch her better, too much into thought. So the next day Hailee was eating breakfast and noticed that Grandma had makeup on and she asked her, " Your makeup" and she replied "Yea, I have makeup on" and Hailee's response was " Naughty Grandma" I don't remember telling Hailee that she was naughty for having makeup on, I let her pretend all the time. Funny girl. So I was telling my MIL about what I was making for enrichment and she wanted to make some too, so I got one of the examples done and the other painted and just have to finish it.

The Cruella DeVille Dance

Hailee LOVES 101 Dalmations, her favorite part is the Cruella DeVille song, she likes to copy the charaters on the movie when they are singing the song. At the end of the DVD Selena Gomez sings a remake of the song, Hailee has came up with her dance to the song and watches it over and over. Her dance is so funny.

Silver Lake

One of our favorite activities is to go to Silver Lake. This weekend we spent most of our time there.

We went with my brother and his kids yesterday and then went again today to have another picnic. Hailee loves it there and likes to see the ducks

and see the moose when they are out. Today we decided to hike up to the other lakes that are up behind Silver Lake. It was really pretty once you got about half way up,

you could see all of Silver Lake and everything around it. The leaves look like they are starting to change too, I am way excited for them to change!!
