Hailee playing with her toys

It is so funny to watch Hailee play with her toys. When she plays with her finger puppets she likes to find any part that is sticking out and put it in her mouth. It depends on which one that she has, but lately she will stick in her mouth and bite down on them and keep it in her mouth and take her hands away. I think that it is so funny to watch do this. She will put it in and then pull it back out and then put it back in. I wanted to get a picture of her doing that, but everytime I would try, she would take it out and not put it back in. So I decided to record her playing and she actually did it. She has such a little personality. Hailee know how to make us laugh.

A few weeks ago, we started to give Hailee rice cereal. I had given that to her for a week and then I decided that I wanted to see how she liked other foods. We started her on peaches, I know that some will say to give them veggies first, well at the time that I decided to start we only had peaches. She ate the peaches and loved them. Next we tried sweet potatoes, then applesauce, squash, and now she is eating carrots. She will eat them for 3 days then I switch and have her try a new one. Today was day 2 of carrots. The pictures of her justify what she looks like after she eats her food. She has loved every kind that I have given her and she will eat it all. She loves to sit and eat her food. It has been fun to see her try new things, although she hasn't made any funny faces with any of them.

Who mows the lawn? Jimmy, last time that I did, I broke out with huge welts, I must be allergic to mowing the lawn, true story!!
Who cooks dinner?I do most of the time, sometimes if I work late, Jimmy will occasionally have it made.
Who drives when you are together? It's a fight, usually I make Jimmy, but there are times I lose and I have to drive.

Who kissed who first? Jimmy kissed me first outside of my work, we had only been dating about a week.
Who asked who out first? Jimmy asked me, we met at a dance and then he got my # and then called and asked me out.
Who proposed? Jimmy, he tells me now the different ways that he had thought about asking me.
Who has more siblings? That would be me, only by one though. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister, Jimmy has 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Who wears the pants? It is pretty equal, we try to work together and we have set rules about spending money and things, it works out well.

Hailee's friends

I have a ton of pictures that needs scrapbooking. I will make a few pages and then my ideas run out and then I don't scrapbook for a while. I had some time yesterday and made a few pages. I was looking online for ideas to help get my ideas flowing and I stummbled upon smilebox.com. I wrote down the website and just today was able to see what you could actually do with it. I know that I already have most of these pics on here, but I thought that this was way cute and wanted to see how it would work out, so here it is. I just was looking on my blog and it just doesn't play automatically like the other slideshows, you have to click on the play and then it pulls up another window to view it, that is the only thing that I don't like, other than that, it turned out cute!!!

Hailee's favorite toys

Everything that Hailee can get her hands on goes right to her mouth. I know that it is normal for babies to do that. So now that she likes to hold on to things, we would give her toys that she could hold and play with. Her rattles and other toys that she has are hard and she puts them up to her mouth and try and eat them and usually she would end up hitting herself with the toy or she has a hard time to hold on to them for a long time. One day I was at my favorite kids store, Carter's, and they had some finger puppets. They are soo cute. I bought her two of them and gave them to her and she absolutly loves these toys. She can hold on to the really well and they are soft so she can keep a good grasp on them.
They have became her favorite toys. Today I had to exchange some items to Carter's and well she received 2 more finger puppets as a gift. They have so many different ones and since she loves them, I like to have them and when she gets older she can still play with them.

Hailee loves her blankie

I know this looks bad, and trust me when I saw this, I freaked. The picture is cute though. Anyhow, this is what happened, I went in to check on her and she had kicked the blanket off of her. When she is getting ready to wake up or is tired, she starts to pick up her legs and then throws them down over and over. Well the blankets don't stay on her. I covered her back up and went to get ready for work. Jimmy got up and went to check on her a few minutes later to see if she went back to sleep and he tells me to come and see her. He thought that it was soo cute and I guess before I came in there, he had taken pictures of her. She had the one corner in her hand and her arm was up next to her head. She had a good grip on it. We use this blanket all the time, it seems that latley we have to use it to rock her to sleep, it's her favorite. Thanks Ang!!!

Great Pals

Hailee has started to notice Ruger more and is interested in her. Everytime Ruger is close to her, she likes to stick her hand out so that she can touch her. Ruger likes it to, it just gives her more reason to give her tons of "kisses". It is so cute to see them interact with each other. Ruger has been such a good dog with Hailee. Ruger likes to make sure she knows where Hailee is too. They will be great pals.

We started to give Hailee her rice cereal, but the past couple of days I was putting it in her bedtime bottle so it wasn't too thick and to slowly get her use to it. She was having little tummy aches and being a pill to get to sleep, so I wasn't too sure if it was the right time to give it to her. So, today we decieded that we should try and give it to her earlier and see if it effects her the same way and then we wouldn't both be really tired and trying to calm her down at night. We ended up spoon feeding her, which is what I wanted to do anyways, and at first she wasn't too sure what to do with it, but after a few times, she ended up getting the hang of it and she was wanting me to feed it to her faster than I was. She ate the whole bowl that I made for her and then drank her bottle of formula too. After the fact, she was happy and for her nap time, she went right to sleep and she doesn't have an upset tummy or anything. Wahoo!!! I am thinking that she may have had to work to hard to get it out of the bottle and sucked to much air. We will probably continue to just spoon feed it to her. I was worried that she wouldn't like it, but she did.

Hailee and her 4 month appointment

I hate taking Hailee to the doctor, she is just a happy go lucky little girl and she just doesn't know what is in store for her when she goes to the doctor, yet! That will probably change when she figures out that doctors are "mean" and that they just want to stick stuff down her throat and they poke her with those nasty needles that hurt and makes her cry. So Hailee had her 4 month appointment on Friday the 11th, with shots and all, but she checked out to be doing well and the doctor said that she was doing good. She weighed in at 13 lbs 7 oz all the way from 9 lbs 11 oz on her two month appointment. She is in the range of 50% for both her height and weight. We also got go ahead and start feeding her rice cereal to see if she likes it or not. The doctor said that she has amazing head control and since she is on this little pattern of eating 4 oz and then an hour later eating another 2 oz, then she is probably ready to try rice cereal, so there will be updates on how she handles the cereal.

Hailee is sitting sort of

Hailee has been trying to sit up for a while and we will sometimes put her in the bebe pod chair, thanks to Andrew for letting Hailee borrow it, so that she can sit up. She likes to hold on to our hands and try and pull herself up, or she will lift her head up and try to sit. We have tried before to sit her up without helping or supporting her back and she falls over. She is getting better, she was sort of sitting by herself tonight.She was bent a little forward, but she was sitting. After sitting for a few minutes, she decided that she would just spit up, bending forward must put a little pressure on her stomach. I know, I always say it, I can't believe how fast she is growing.

Date Night

Since Andrew's mom and dad went out on a date, Andrew came over and had a play date with Hailee.

The night started out with playing with toys. After toy time, both at the same time decided that it was time to eat. So they had a delicious bottle of formula, YUM!!
After that Hailee decided that it was time for a nap and Andrew stayed up to play with toys a little more. The night will end probably with them both sleeping, which won't be unusal, although Hailee is still sleeping and Andrew is still playing. All in all, I think that their first play date went really well.
