One more July Adventure

**This one didn't add to the last post**
To round up the end of our July adventures, we had our Schuring Reunion at Flaming Gorge. We we able to go on a river run on the Green River while we were there. I wasn't too sure if Hailee would actually go since she has a fear of things and wont try them. She was having fun and had a outlook on what we were going to do. When we started to hike down to the river, she was getting nervous and didn't know if she wanted to go. We kept pointing out there were a lot of kids and nothing was going to happen to her. We got her in the boat and we took off. She stayed by me and held on tight, with a little time passing, she got more comfortable and started to move around the boat. The river was pretty calm and had few rapids, mild rapids. The rapids were ok, I didn't want anything that would scare Hailee and make her not want to go again. It was freezing cold water and the weather was pretty mild. When we finished, Hailee wanted to "river run" again and was pretty upset that we couldn't go again. We got back to the cabin where the rest of the family was and Hailee was able to make a bubble gum bracelet, she loves it. Hailee was so excited to sleep in the tent with all of her cousins. She is my little outdoors girl, she loves camping and the mountains. Good thing cause her parents do too!! We had a great time at the reunion and love spending time with the family that we don't see very often!!

Our July Adventures

Our 4th of July was way fun!! We went to NSL for a BBQ at my uncles house and fireworks at the golf course. We went to the races at Copperton Park. Hailee was so excited to run the races. Jimmy ran a race and I ran a couple of races as well. Hailee was so excited to do the hula hoop race. After the races we headed to the Magna parade. Hailee loved all of the activites we did on the 4th.
Since the weather has been cooler this year, the snow took longer to melt in the mountains. By now we have spent many days there hiking and taking walks at the lake. We took a picnic up to the lake and it was rainy and cold so we didn't stay really long. There is a waterfall by the lake and usually isn't very big, but with the run off there was a lot of water coming down. We miss not being able to get to the mountains more this year.

We went to one of our friends daughters birthday party at a park/pond in Spanish Fork. While we were there Hailee wanted me to take a "photo shoot" of her. She wanted to pick out the places to get pics and the poses she wanted to do. Everywhere we go she wants to have her pics taken and like to model for the camera.

On the 21st, we went to Lagoon. Hailee was so excited. She loves to go. When we got there we found a table to dump our things so that we could take off on the rides. The first ride we took her on was the new Lagoon ride, Bombora. At first Hailee was yelling and laughing as we went up the hill, we started to go down the first hill and around the corners and she wasn't too sure if she liked it. At the end she wanted to go again and again. We met my brothers fam and my mom there. Hailee conquered her fears while at Lagoon-a-beach. She has not liked to get into pools of water or go on water slides. She did both!! She then kept talking about Bombora and wanted to go again. We went on a lot more rides this year since she was taller and could go on more. It was a good day to go, not really long lines and it wasn't really hot!! We actually stayed for pretty much the whole day and night!!

Park Day

We had a "sick" day and took off to the park with some friends...

Posing in the tube...she kept posing in funny poses...

Both Hailee and Andrew accomplished this and learned how to turn around so they weren't going down the one side head first...

Hailee, Andrew and Addi... Picnic time...

Just relaxing...

Hailee thought she was so big to hang that high and then drop to the ground and not get hurt..

After a day at the park, what a better way to cool off then to jump with the sprinkler under it... Hailee loves to jump with the water...

Easter 2011

Hailee in her Easter Dress, she was so excited to finally wear it to church.

Easter Egg hunt, I had to work, so Jimmy being the greatest dad took her to a hunt. He said that she was being really shy and didn't want to get in there and pick up the cool stuff that was there for her age group---Hailee does NOT like the Easter bunny. We went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny and she was so scared of him, she didn't want anything to do with him. I told her she needed to tell the bunny what to bring her and she asked for a spoon cause she lost hers...so random.

Hailee's Easter basket. She was so surprised when she saw her basket and all the things the bunny left for her. She didn't know what to do at first or what to look at first. She of course LOVED the candy that was left.

Easter Egg hunt with my family. Hailee loved the outfit that the bunny left for her, she is quite into clothes. This hunt was better, she got right out there and ran and ran to find all the hidden eggs and toys. She wasn't shy about this one!!

Dyeing eggs...all I can say is what a mess!!! I got the no spill dye thinking that it wouldn't be very messy, wrong....they still managed to make a mess of it and get all dyed with the eggs!! They had a great time, that is all that matters.

Trampoline

We finally got Hailee her trampoline.

She has wanted one forever. We didn't really like the ones that they have out there and so we didn't buy her one to just get one. We were at Sam's Club and saw that they had a low to the ground, fairly good size around, and enclosed trampoline and decided that it would be a good one to get. It looked like it could handle the weather outside as well. So we surprised her with it and she was excited.

She even must have been dreaming about it, cause she woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to jump and told us that her friends came over to jump with her.

Hailee's First Set of Stitches

So we were out with some friends at dinner, Hailee was leaning against her chair and it slid away from her and she hit her head on the chair. We thought that she was fine and tried to calm her down from crying when I looked at her and her head was bleeding.

We were lucky to have our dinner over, so we went to pay for dinner and take a look outside in the light. Hailee was more worried about the free sucker she gets when dinner was over than her head bleeding. We looked at it more and decided that she would need stitches. So of course we were down south away from home and so we went to the insta care, they were going to put stitches in and then decided they didn't want to do them there, so we had to go to another insta care. When we got there, they looked at her and said that they would have to do staples.

Hailee was so brave and didn't even cry when they were getting everything ready for the them to get put in. She was still nervous and scared. They got her head all numbed and then put the staples in pretty quick

Hailee was so proud to show everyone that she had staples in her head. She did so awesome!!

Great Grandma's Piano

Hailee likes to visit great grandma and of course great grandpa.

She loves the piano that they have and always wants play it. It is a player piano, so it has music rolls you put into it and it plays the songs while the keys move. She loves the songs and loves everyone to sing them while it plays.

I love this picture of the two of them listenting to the song and playing the piano together.

Hailee's first haircut

So I finally cut Hailee's hair, it wasn't easy to do either.

Her hair was so long and went into a point at the bottom, so we just made it straight across.

As the girl cutting it was getting ready to cut off the bottom, I almost told her to stop but didn't. Then I wanted to cry as she was cutting her hair, she didn't cut that much off either and it is still long and curly.

Hailee didn't want to get her hair cut, when I told her about it she cried. She was scared to get her hair cut since it would hurt to cut it, as she thought anyways. She did really well and we went out for icecream afterwards.

Planet Play Dance

One of Hailee's favorite places to go is Planet Play, formly known as Incredible Pizza. They have little activites for the kids at the entrance and you can will prizes. Hailee decieded to join the dance stuff. If you participate in all the dances they do, you get a free $3.00 game card, to her that was so cool. She loves to dance and loved being out there dancing with everyone.

Enjoy her dancing....

Date Night

We went on a great date night to a concert, and what a great concert it was. LeeAnn Womack, Reba and George Strait. Our seats were really high, and when I say high I mean top row at the Energy Solutions Arena. So, I knew that George was coming and didn't say anything to Jimmy cause we just saw him last year at Usana and didn't think that he would want to go. I thought that it would be fun to see Reba, but I haven't been listening to country as much and so I didn't really think more of it. Jimmy told me a few weeks ago that he heard they were coming and wanted to see how much the tickets were. Well since we waited till nearly the last minute, that it what was left and so we bought them and went.

LeeAnn started off and she did an amazing job and the one song that I love from here is "Dance", love that song!! Then Reba came out, she is so great!!

Loved everything that she sang. She sang the duet that her and Kelly Clarkson sing and LeeAnn came out to sing it with her, it was awesome.

Towards the end of her part, she started to talk about the things she had done with music, film and TV. She was talking about her show, Reba, and all of a sudden someone comes running on stage, screaming and dressed pretty crazy... it was Melissa Peterman.

They then did a little comedy act. It was funny, Melissa is one funny girl. For Reba's encore, on the screen was showing a movie of her in a taxi, then the next thing you know in comes a taxi with her in it and she has changed to a red dress. It was great!! Then George came out.

It was a blast, and now that I have seen him 3 times, I now know more of his songs. Jimmy loves or I should say LOVES George Strait. Even though we were high it was fun to spend the time together. After the concert it was a down pour outside. By the time we got to the car we were soaked!! Great way to end the night, running in the rain, soaked.
