Christmas 2008

We had a good Christmas and it was fun now that Hailee actually kinda gets opening presents. We had a family party on Christmas Eve starting at my brothers house. We had a great variety of appitizers. After that we went to my parents house and ate more yummy food. My parents bought a Wii and we had fun playing, I am a little sore from boxing Jimmy. Later that night we read The Night Before Christmas and then let the kids open their Christmas Jammies. We then looked on the internet to see where Santa Claus was and where he was making his next stops.

Hailee, Alyssa, Alli and Abbi in their jammies, the little ones wanted to run instead of taking pictures.

We got home and Hailee had an amazing amount of energy. I thought she would fall asleep on the way home, not the case. She was running around and playing. She is into singing at the top of her lungs lately too.

I finally got a good picture of Hailee sitting and not wanting to run off.

Christmas after Santa had come.
We woke up to a ton of snow again with the wind blowing hard. Santa left some great gifts!! Hailee got a bike that we can push her till her little legs can reach the pedals, a coloring book and crayons, she just started to like to color, a fleece jacket, a cute dress, and a doodle doll from her cousin Isaiah. Jimmy got a Craftsman tool box for all of his tools, a magnetic dish for all his bolts and screws, socks, and jerky from Hailee. I got a new camera, a Nikon coolpix. It is a cool camera with new cool features, and I got a shirt from Hailee. Jimmy gave me some extras for my camera, a extra battery, and a memory stick.
After, we braved the snowy roads and back to my parents house. We had a yummy breakfast and then exchanged gifts. Jimmy got an AE jacket, I got a cool picture frame, and Hailee got all sorts of gifts from everyone. My parents gave her a 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Doll, just like the one I had when I was way younger, a stroller and clothes. She got a couple other toys from my sister and brother. My parents gave us a card table with chairs and a gift card to the movies!! We had a great time!!

Hailee's white wash

Hailee got a little excited with the snow. Since she was all bundled up she couldn't catch herself well enough and as she fell she didn't stop and her face went right into a pile of snow. I felt bad even though I laughed, she wasnt' sure what to think with the snow on her face. After the fact she laughed like she thought it was funny.

All bundled up!!

We finally had a big storm that left us pretty much deep in snow. Jimmy came home and he started to dig out. Hailee wanted to be outside with him, so I put on her snow suit and bundled her up. Her snowsuit was from last year and yes it still fit her, kinda. It was a little short in the legs, but other than that it mostly fit her. She loved being outside!! She wasn't too much in walking in it, she just liked to watch Jimmy with what he was doing and standing in the garage. Ruger ran through the snow for a little bit and then she just sat there an shivered. We might have to go sledding this year!!!

Pancake Helper

Usually on Sat we have pancakes. Today Hailee wanted to be held while I was trying to make them. So I set her on the counter and she wanted to help mix the batter.
So I pulled over a chair for her to stand on. She saw me put the first little bit of batter in the pan and she grabbed the scoop from me and wanted to do it herself. She has become little miss independant.
It was so cute she would scoop the batter and dump into the pan, with a little help from me. She thought that she was so fun to help!!

Family Christmas Party

Yesterday we had our family Christmas party with my mom's side of the family. It was good to see everyone. We have been getting together for a party every year as long as I can remember. We used to have it on Christmas Eve, but since we are all older and have our own children we decided to have it on another day and spend Christmas Eve with our families.
Hailee and Abbi.

Some of my grandparents great grandkids. I think that they are up to 14 great.
Hailee getting her present. She was getting so mad cause she knew what was in there and wouldn't take the paper off. When I bought it she wanted to play with it. I had it put up and she found it and would cry and point to where it was, so I finally gave it to her to play with till I wrapped it.
She finally figured out that she had to take the paper off.
She finally had it off and was so happy. I took it out of the box and she played it and carried it around. All the other little kids wanted to play with it too. Hailee was a little possessive of her piano. Anyone that would touch it or play it, she would grab their hand and pull it off and say "uhh". After the kids wouldn't stop, she got mad and would cry and carry it away from them. And they all followed. The adults thought that it was funny the way she was with her things. What an attitude she has!!!

Spaghetti Mania

One of Hailee's favorite foods!!
She makes the biggest messes with it too!! She loves to feed herself and gets mad if anyone tries to help!!

Time flys

I have been MIA for a little bit! Life is just crazy busy and fun! Between busy hours at work and home, the holidays, sick little girl, and mom(me)=not enough time to sit and blog!!! Hailee has been on the go for a while now. She walks all over the place. She is a shoe girl. She loves to carry any shoes around the house and especially her slippers, they have bear heads on the toe that have rattles inside. She still loves to feed the dog and has become a picky eater. The things she uses to like to eat she will give it to the dog or turn her head. Right now she likes anything that is pasta. Her fav, the little blue box, Mac and Cheese. She talks like crazy and usually you really don't know what she is saying. She loves the phone and will hold it up to her ear and say Hi and then gabber something. She has learned where the dog treats are and loves to feed them to Ruger. She will keep getting them out as long as we let her. If the pantry is left open a tiny bit she gets it open.

Thanksgiving was really fun with all the family adventures. We had Jimmy's family here at our home and it turned out good. We then went to my parents home. My mom bought pomegranate 7-up, interesting. It wasn't to bad tasting though. It has been nice having a few days off from work to relax. I was able to get our short little tree up with the decorations. Hailee loves it and pulls all the bells off the tree along with the rest of the decorations. I am not worried though, it is inevitable. The last couple of years, I have been able to pull Jimmy out of bed to shop with me. Last year we had to take Hailee, but she was little and slept anywhere. This year we were lucky to have Jimmy's parents here and they could listen for her. We stopped at Sears and then went to Kohls. I love just being out in it all. I would have loved to go more places, but this year we are keeping it cheap and trying not to spend a lot on each other like past years. Self Control, this I will have to have this year, very hard for me with shopping during the holidays!!! Christmas is just around the corner. I love this time of year, it is my fav!!

Bugged Eyed

We couldn't stop laughing!! It was so funny to see Hailee with these glasses on. She wanted them on the whole night and thought that she was so funny cause we all laughed. I was laughing so hard, it was hard to take the pictures of her.

Daylights Savings Time

Can I just say I hate this time change thing!! Just when I adjust to a new schedule, it changes. My poor baby, she is really tired and crys cause she is tired. Well it is 7:00, she thinks that it is 8:00. If she doesn't get a afternoon nap, she is ready for bed by 8 or now it's 7. So what do you do?? I just put her to bed at 7 hoping that she will sleep all night.

Hailee's new favorite word

Hailee just started to say "NO", she says no no no and shakes her finger all the time and just a couple of days ago, you ask a question and her reply to everything is "NO" and then she thinks that she is funny!!!

It's Halloween

Halloween started early for us. Our ward did a trunk or treat at 5pm. It is always fun to hang our with the members of our ward, our get togethers are fun!
This year I dress Hailee as a princess fairy. I am surprised that she left the wings on. I put them on her before and she would just cry and try to pull them off. I am glad she left them on.
At first she thought that it was fun to just walk around and see all her friends.
But she started to get the hang of it and carried her bag and picked out her candy. She wanted to eat each peice as she got a new one. People would ask what I wanted, like I would eat her candy, who do they think I am??:) I told them that Hailee could pick what she wanted she's a smart girl, and she would. We then went to my mom's house and went around her circle with Hailee's cousin, I didn't get any pics, they all wouldn't stand together. We then went to Hailee's Great Grandma's house. After that we went to see Justin and Steph who dress up and scare the kids as they come up to the door. By this time, Hailee had seen Ali running and knocking on doors and tried to follow. Her little legs couldn't move as fast, but she tried and we ended up holding her. Hailee loved it and had a big smile on her face the rest of the night. It was a fun night!!!

Pillowcase Dress

I found this website on my friend's blog. I was looking at the cute things they had on there and I saw these cute dresses that they called a pillow case dress/shirt.
I couldn't resist I had to buy one and had to get the bows that matched.
It looks so cute on her, a little long, but it will last for a while. You can use it as a dress while they are younger and when they are older you can use it as a shirt with jeans or any kind of pants underneath. http://www.peekaboobowtique.com/

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins to carve. We went with my family. After that we went to my parents house and carved them and has a yummy dinner.

A Little Halloween Humor

I found this on another blog, couldn't resist posting it.
Happy Halloween!!!!

Alpine Coaster

Even though it has been a crappy day; snow, rain and very cold, we still went to Park City. My sister in law's parents have a condo they can use about this time every year. The past 2 years they have been off on a mission, so my brother and his wife get to use the condo. It is fun to be there even for the day. We had a great BBQ. Jimmy hasn't been on the coaster yet. I thought that it would be closed since it had been snowing there all day.

*On our way to the top before we head down.

It was open and my brother watched Hailee and me and Jimmy went. It was so so cold going fast down hills and around turns. I had a hoodie on and Jimmy had a jacket. We weren't to prepared for the cold. Lets just say my hands and face were ice cold. At least I had a hoodie so I could wear the hat. It was a blast!!

Jimmy's cart in front of me.

Piggy Jammies

I just bought Hailee some blanket sleepers since it was getting really cold at night. I couldn't resist the piggy ones.

Hailee has been sitting on the bottom stair and thinks that it is so fun to sit there and then make herself fall off the stair and fall on the floor. It is like a game to her. She will laugh and laugh.

This is just before she falls, she will start to stand and then fall forward.

Free Handbags

Yes, free handbags. I thought hmmm, why not. I could always use another handbag. I am not much of a handbag person, but the one I have is falling apart and the ones they are giving away are really nice looking. I could always use one!!! Enter the contest at http://www.handbagplanet.com/

My Petite Sweet

Hailee had her 12 month appointment yesterday. I was a little late on her appointment being that she is 13 months now. Anyhow, she is going to be a petite little lady. She weighs 20 lbs and 4 oz. (25th%) and 28 inches in height (35th%) with a smart noggin (75th%). She continues to learn new things and amazes us each day.

Horse rides/Gardner Village again

I had today off, Wahoo!! We had a really busy week and my boss was very nice to let us all have today off!! So we tried Gardner Village again. This time Hailee seemed to be a little more happy. I put her on the pony ride.

At first she wasn't too sure but towards the end she liked it.
They had a lot of ducks there. Hailee was trying to touch them. There is a little hill down to the water and Hailee decided to go down there and would turn around and slide down on her belly like she was going down the stairs. So funny!!
She even cooperated getting more pictures done!!

It was a nice cool day to walk around.

Gardner Village

I love walking around Gardner Village. Me and my mom go every year during the fall to walk through and see the witches and take pictures.
Hailee wasn't too happy while we were trying to take pictures. I will have to go back before they take it all down.
My niece flew in from Arizona yesterday to spend a couple of weeks. She loves to go with us to. They have pony rides, but we didn't have time today. Maybe I will get Hailee on a horse.
