No broken legs here!!

Finally, Hailee is starting to stand. I know this may sound weird since most babies start to stand and like standing at earlier age. Hailee has shown us that she is very will minded and will do things when she is ready and wants to. She can crawl but chooses not to, she could sit up but didn't for a while, and when you would try and get her to stand, she would just bend her legs to a sitting position and hold them there till you set her down. When she is good and ready for something she will just do it and amaze us that she actually did something new. She has just been lately pulling herself up onto things but would kneel and now she now will stand for a few minutes. I am so excited!!!

Camping Weekend

We had a family reunion on my Dad's side this last weekend. We went camping up to Current Creek. Jimmy and I told my parents about this place that we love to go to.
*We saw this deer as we were hiking*

Jimmy first intorduced me to this place just after we were married. We went camping and fishing there and I remember that summer we walked the river and fished along the way. Well dumb me + no sunscreen = burnt Jen!! Needless to say, I never learn
but have a great husband who pesters me to keep it on!!
I did put it on but forgot my feet this time. Anyhow, it was a great time as always. Our friends,
the DeMelo's also were going camping and they came and camped at the same camp ground, so fun!!
*Eating smores and hanging by the fire with the DeMelo's*

On Sat. Jimmy and my brothers got up early to fish. I was up early with my niece and my baby. Hailee did pretty good while we were there. She woke a few times and I put her in bed with me and she would go back to sleep. She is still my early riser though. So I was awake pretty early.
*Hailee sitting around the fire to get warm during the cold morning*

*Alyssa up early with Hailee and I, she had me take a few pictures of her posing, she is quite the little camera poser. She tells me she will be a model one day*
*Hailee and Alyssa in the morning around the fire together*
Our family reunions are always great fun! We get everyone together for a big potluck dinner and play a game that the reunion planner comes up with and have a big family auction. My dad's family is big, really big!! Lets just say my parents planned this year and planned for 80 people. There is a few more that didn't come either. I love how big my family is and that we get together twice a year to catch up with everyone!!

Idaho Weekend

We had a little getaway for the weekend to visit Jimmy's parents. Jimmy's brother, wife and little boy were there also. It was a very short trip due to unforseen adventures happening in Utah that made us come back earlier than expected, however the time that we spent there was fun. It was fun to seem them and let the kids play.

Hailee loved to give Bryson loves and kisses.

The boys went shooting, not an unusal event when they are together, and Bobbi and I went to Babies R Us and to lunch at Winger's without kids!! It was the guys turn to watch them while we went and played!!! On our way there the sun was setting and I tried for probably 10 minutes to get a good shot of what the sun looked like.

The picture just doesn't do justice. The sun was red and huge, the pictures that I took make it look more oragne and smaller, but I had to post one since I tried so hard to get the shot, not easy while traveling 80mph.

Wheeler Farm

We went to Wheeler Farm today with Angela and Andrew.
It was HOT out there, but we had fun. Hailee really liked the animals just being outside. She liked the cows and was trying to "moo", maybe since I have been reading and showing her farm animal books latley she enjoyed looking at the cows.
Hailee and Andrew on the Saw Horse.
Hailee loved the ducks the most.
The pigs were just as hot as we were!!

10 Months Old

Hailee is 10 months old today. I can't believe that she is almost 1. She is so funny and has a cute personality. She has been "army" crawling for the past couple of weeks and is getting closer to actually crawl. She trys and gets mad cause she can't move fast, so she resorts back to the army crawl or rolling. She is getting really fast and is getting in to everything.
She loves the dog and loves to feed her. She thinks it is funny to throw her food around and feed the dog. I know, funny right? Ok so when she starts to laugh while she does it, I can't help it, it is kinda funny how she giggles about it. She knows what she wants and screams if she can't have it. She loves to say "Hi" to most anyone who walks by or just at home all day long. She has her little shy moments too!! Depending on her mood, she will either be way excited and talk or she will hold on to me tight and when someone looks or talks to her she will turn her head. Funny Girl!!! She has two teeth and I believe working on another one.

She likes to give "kisses" and pull some pretty funny faces. She is one smart girl!!!

4th of July

Our 4th of July festivities go back as far as I can remember. We have a family tradition that we do every year. A few years ago we started our 4th on the 3rd with a BBQ at my Uncle's home and fireworks at the golf course by his house. On the 4th we go to Copperton park. My grandpa is part of the Lion's Club in Copperton and used to live in Bingham Canyon, which is no longer there. Every year they have this big celebration for the 4th. If we make it early enough we have breakfast. They have all sorts of different races that you can participate in and the winners recieve money, this was always fun when we were little. There is a foot race - which Jimmy ran, sack race, shoe scramble race, and a hula hoop race - I used to win this every year, not this year I can't even hula hoop anymore - they had a lot more races when I was younger. We then hang out in the park and have a picnic with all my relatives. Later on for Jimmy and I, the past couple of years we have been going to our friends home for a BBQ and some "fun" fireworks. It is a lot of fun and I love when the 4th comes around every year!!!

Hailee's great babysitter

My friend Angela has been watching Hailee for us since we both have to work right now, I am so greatful that she was so willing to do so. She is so great with her and I know that she is getting the attention and love that I would give her. I am starting to be ok with dropping her off and doing what I need to so that I can come home and see Hailee. Hailee loves being with Angela and her family. She gets so excited when she sees Andrew and she loves Angela. Lately it takes a few minutes for Hailee to warm up to people before she acts like herself and not grab me or cry, she goes right to Angela and starts to wave bye to me. Angela even gives her great treats too!!! Hailee loves icecream!!! Thanks Ang!!!
