January Events

We went to the zoo...

*I had Martin Luther King off of work and planned a play date with the DeMelo's. We were going to go to the bounce house, but it was a nice day and was warm and Andrew had the grand idea of going to the zoo. What a great idea, it wasn't too hot to walk around and it wasn't too cold that we were freezing. The only down side was the carousel and train were closed, the giraffe's were closed and they took the bears out. The plus side to going when it's not summer, the kiosk with all the toys and drink containers were not out or open, so no fighting with Hailee about getting an over priced toy that she would most likely never play with again. It was a fun day!!*

Hailee became a sunbeam...

*First day of Sunbeams*

We played in all the snow....
*Being pulled behind the four wheeler** Hailee loved this and would scream "Wahoo" the whole time.
*Sitting in one of the many mountains of snow that we had from the big snow storm*

Hailee's bike

Santa brought her a bike for Christmas and she was bugging us to ride it outside, so on a warmer and when the roads were dry we took her out. She did really well at riding it!!

Late Christmas Post

Hailee does not like Santa at all. Santa made an appearance at our ward party and she wanted out of the room that he was in. She wouldn't even talk to him with me holding her. I told her that if she didn't tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas he wouldn't know what presents to bring her. So we tried again and took her to the mall. She was all excited to tell Santa what she wanted until she saw him, we were the only ones there so the Santa was really nice and talked to her and tried to make her feel comfortable. He read her a book and talked to her, during the whole time I was holding her she kept saying " Santa, Santa, I want a baby with food for Christmas" Once he finally acknowledged her, she was ready to go. He tried to get her to sit on her lap and she wouldn't let go of me, but she told him what she wanted.
West Family Christmas party. This year it was at my parents home. It is always fun to get together with all the cousins and see how everyone has been doing.
Jimmy's brother's family came to visit for a couple of weeks during Christmas. It was fun to see them. Hailee especially liked that Bryson was here and that she could see him all the time. They decorated sugar cookies together and both of them have a love for *SPRINKLES*. Now that they have gone back home, Hailee doesn't quite understand that Daddy can't go and get Bryson and Uncle Matt anytime we want. How we miss them!!
As usual, we spent Christmas Eve at my parents house and the kids opened up their Christmas jammies. They had a lot of fun!! Christmas morning Hailee was scared to come all the way down the stairs cause I told her that Santa had come, she thought that he was standing there waiting for her. She does not like Santa. She came down a few stairs and looked around the corner and she saw the presents, then said "It's only snowmen" meaning the paper had snowmen on them. We finally got her all the way down and she saw her bike in the corner and ran over and hugged it. She was so excited. Then she was ready to open the rest. She got a couple of games, a Baby Alive doll, Leap Frog scribble and write, barbie house and barbie doll. She got a lot of other presents from the rest of the family as well. She was sad when there were no more presents to open and started to cry. She thought they kept coming. Even though Christmas is over, she still asks at the store if she can ask Santa for a certain toy for him to bring her.
