We love icecream

Last night we decided to get some icecream from Coldstone. It is one of Jimmy's favorite places for icecream. I think that Hailee will take after her Dad and love icecream. Also last night I have discovered that Hailee has a tooth that has broken through, Wahoo!!! It is the front bottom right, 1 down and tons more to go.

Our "Zoo"rific Trip

My friend Angela asked if we would like to go to the Zoo today. I have always wanted to go and take Hailee. It has been in forever since I went to the Zoo. We had so much fun. Thanks for the invite!!!

I don't think that Hailee knew what was going on and what we were looking at, she just loved being outside and riding in her stroller.

It's Mom Day!!!

Today is Mother's day and I couldn't be happier. It is my first official mom's day, although Jimmy liked to celebrate it other years past and give me something. It is really a good day to sit and reflect on how much our mom's actually do and what they mean to us. I know that for me, my mom is the greatest. She has always supported me in the decisions that I make. She was always there for me as I grew up with everything from teaching me how to do different things like cook, sew and others, to helping me with school, like those dang word lists she made me read during the summer before I could do anything else. She was there for all my clogging recitals, even with everything else that was going on, she made me feel important and was there no matter what. Being the second oldest of 6 kids, she always made sure that I had everything that I needed and was taken care of and I know I was loved. She was there for me in college and when I needed help, she was there to help no matter what, and even came for the mother/daughter weekend and stayed. Now days she is still there for me, she still makes sure that I have what I need and that everything is taken care of. She was there for me during my pregnancy and waited for hours with me and Jimmy at the hospital waiting for my wonderful little girl to be born. Although she took forever and my mom left to get some sleep, she was back early morning to see me and how things were. She is my favorite person to go to "girly things" with like going to see Lord of the Dance, twice, and Riverdance. We have fun shopping. I am glad that I inherited a few of the many good qualities that my mom has. One day I just might be able to come close to be as great of a mom that she was to me. I just love my mom to death!!!
This is what I made my mom for mother's day, it is a magnet board. This is one of the things that I got from my mom, my craftiness and the love to make craft things.
Jimmy gave me some plants for Mother's day, another thing that I got from my mom, gardening. I love plants and flowers, especially ones with lots of color. The first one is an Azalea, the tag said "White Light Azalea", but it's not white it's orange, mixed tags?? The other one is a Clematis, I have one that is fully grown next to it with purple flowers, this one will have white. These are so pretty.

Jury Duty

Jury Duty how often does this happen?? Well I got my "call" in the mail and this was my week. I had to call every night after 5 to see what was in store for me. I call and every time it says I don't have to go, well last night I called and listen to the message and it caught me by surprise that I had to go in, I had to listen to it twice. I have never known anyone that has had to actually go in. I get there and we have to sit in one of the court rooms until everyone shows up or I guess till 8:30 when it starts. They have you watch this old 80's movie about why we should be honored to serve on the jury and what to kinda expect. Then we have to fill out a questionnaire about the usual seen questions around like are you 18 and older, are you a citizen, stuff like that. Then the judge came in and talked to us for a few minutes about what the process was. We then filled out a paper to get paid, I thought wahoo!! OK so it was only 18.50. The judge told us about what we get paid and she said it wasn't much and that it should cover at least our gas, haha?? After that we were taken down through the back halls of the court house and taken to a new court room. There they have the attorneys and the witnesses and then they ask us a series of questions that you have to raise your hand if it applies to you followed by an explanation. Then the attorneys go back and forth to pick who they want out and who they want kept and the jurors are picked. They only kept 4 out of our bunch of 20. I was at the back of the line and they said that if you were close to the back you probably wouldn't get picked. I of course didn't get picked, fine by me!!

Clap your hands

So besides her knowing how to roll, I have been clapping my hands at her and helping her clap her own hands for some time now. She now is getting the hang of that too!!! She seems to not really do anything new for a little bit and then she starts to do everything all at once. She is learning so much and fast!!! Tomorrow she will offically be 8 months old, she is so smart and keeps learning new things everyday.

Shes on a roll

It was funny, my mom took Hailee for me on Sunday which was a big help since I was sicker than sick, towards the end of the day I was starting to feel better and so we went to dinner for my little brothers birthday. My mom asked me why I didn't tell her that she could roll from her back to her tummy. She was close, but got stuck on her arm. When she mentioned it, I said, What, I didn't know that she could do that now. It was funny, cause I was so not aware that she could roll all the way. Jimmy put her on her back to let her play and he called me at work to tell me that she did it over and over. I had to have proof, so here it is.

Hairbows Galore

I started to make some more bows. I am not sure what I am going to do with them all, but they are fun to make. I am really thinking about selling them as soon as I get more done and have more of a variety.

I like to make them for Hailee's hair and have given my nieces a couple, they like to wear bows in their hair. I found some ribbon that matches some of her clothes and had just made them with a few other bows and today decided to see how they look in her hair. I pulled it up and was surprised at how long her hair actually was. I knew that it was getting longer and thicker, but not that long. Although I am excited now cause she can actually wear them!!!

This is what I have made over the last couple of days in my spare time, whatever I actually have. I know that most are the same colors, but I usually do all the same and then change to a new color. I made ones that match cause my sister suggested that I should so she could put my nieces hair in pig tails. Good thought!!! I am not done with the camo ones yet, and I am still in the process of making more little blue ones, just playing with the two colors tied together. I am going to be making red, orange, lite orange and lite and dark blue too.

Feeding the Dog

Hailee had figured out that if she drops her food or puts her hand down with food in it while sitting in her highchair, Ruger will come and eat it. So now she does it on purpose and feeds the dog. She has already figured out how to "eat all her veggies" and what a lucky dog, someone to give her treats.
