Christmas 2008

We had a good Christmas and it was fun now that Hailee actually kinda gets opening presents. We had a family party on Christmas Eve starting at my brothers house. We had a great variety of appitizers. After that we went to my parents house and ate more yummy food. My parents bought a Wii and we had fun playing, I am a little sore from boxing Jimmy. Later that night we read The Night Before Christmas and then let the kids open their Christmas Jammies. We then looked on the internet to see where Santa Claus was and where he was making his next stops.

Hailee, Alyssa, Alli and Abbi in their jammies, the little ones wanted to run instead of taking pictures.

We got home and Hailee had an amazing amount of energy. I thought she would fall asleep on the way home, not the case. She was running around and playing. She is into singing at the top of her lungs lately too.

I finally got a good picture of Hailee sitting and not wanting to run off.

Christmas after Santa had come.
We woke up to a ton of snow again with the wind blowing hard. Santa left some great gifts!! Hailee got a bike that we can push her till her little legs can reach the pedals, a coloring book and crayons, she just started to like to color, a fleece jacket, a cute dress, and a doodle doll from her cousin Isaiah. Jimmy got a Craftsman tool box for all of his tools, a magnetic dish for all his bolts and screws, socks, and jerky from Hailee. I got a new camera, a Nikon coolpix. It is a cool camera with new cool features, and I got a shirt from Hailee. Jimmy gave me some extras for my camera, a extra battery, and a memory stick.
After, we braved the snowy roads and back to my parents house. We had a yummy breakfast and then exchanged gifts. Jimmy got an AE jacket, I got a cool picture frame, and Hailee got all sorts of gifts from everyone. My parents gave her a 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Doll, just like the one I had when I was way younger, a stroller and clothes. She got a couple other toys from my sister and brother. My parents gave us a card table with chairs and a gift card to the movies!! We had a great time!!

Hailee's white wash

Hailee got a little excited with the snow. Since she was all bundled up she couldn't catch herself well enough and as she fell she didn't stop and her face went right into a pile of snow. I felt bad even though I laughed, she wasnt' sure what to think with the snow on her face. After the fact she laughed like she thought it was funny.

All bundled up!!

We finally had a big storm that left us pretty much deep in snow. Jimmy came home and he started to dig out. Hailee wanted to be outside with him, so I put on her snow suit and bundled her up. Her snowsuit was from last year and yes it still fit her, kinda. It was a little short in the legs, but other than that it mostly fit her. She loved being outside!! She wasn't too much in walking in it, she just liked to watch Jimmy with what he was doing and standing in the garage. Ruger ran through the snow for a little bit and then she just sat there an shivered. We might have to go sledding this year!!!

Pancake Helper

Usually on Sat we have pancakes. Today Hailee wanted to be held while I was trying to make them. So I set her on the counter and she wanted to help mix the batter.
So I pulled over a chair for her to stand on. She saw me put the first little bit of batter in the pan and she grabbed the scoop from me and wanted to do it herself. She has become little miss independant.
It was so cute she would scoop the batter and dump into the pan, with a little help from me. She thought that she was so fun to help!!

Family Christmas Party

Yesterday we had our family Christmas party with my mom's side of the family. It was good to see everyone. We have been getting together for a party every year as long as I can remember. We used to have it on Christmas Eve, but since we are all older and have our own children we decided to have it on another day and spend Christmas Eve with our families.
Hailee and Abbi.

Some of my grandparents great grandkids. I think that they are up to 14 great.
Hailee getting her present. She was getting so mad cause she knew what was in there and wouldn't take the paper off. When I bought it she wanted to play with it. I had it put up and she found it and would cry and point to where it was, so I finally gave it to her to play with till I wrapped it.
She finally figured out that she had to take the paper off.
She finally had it off and was so happy. I took it out of the box and she played it and carried it around. All the other little kids wanted to play with it too. Hailee was a little possessive of her piano. Anyone that would touch it or play it, she would grab their hand and pull it off and say "uhh". After the kids wouldn't stop, she got mad and would cry and carry it away from them. And they all followed. The adults thought that it was funny the way she was with her things. What an attitude she has!!!

Spaghetti Mania

One of Hailee's favorite foods!!
She makes the biggest messes with it too!! She loves to feed herself and gets mad if anyone tries to help!!

Time flys

I have been MIA for a little bit! Life is just crazy busy and fun! Between busy hours at work and home, the holidays, sick little girl, and mom(me)=not enough time to sit and blog!!! Hailee has been on the go for a while now. She walks all over the place. She is a shoe girl. She loves to carry any shoes around the house and especially her slippers, they have bear heads on the toe that have rattles inside. She still loves to feed the dog and has become a picky eater. The things she uses to like to eat she will give it to the dog or turn her head. Right now she likes anything that is pasta. Her fav, the little blue box, Mac and Cheese. She talks like crazy and usually you really don't know what she is saying. She loves the phone and will hold it up to her ear and say Hi and then gabber something. She has learned where the dog treats are and loves to feed them to Ruger. She will keep getting them out as long as we let her. If the pantry is left open a tiny bit she gets it open.

Thanksgiving was really fun with all the family adventures. We had Jimmy's family here at our home and it turned out good. We then went to my parents home. My mom bought pomegranate 7-up, interesting. It wasn't to bad tasting though. It has been nice having a few days off from work to relax. I was able to get our short little tree up with the decorations. Hailee loves it and pulls all the bells off the tree along with the rest of the decorations. I am not worried though, it is inevitable. The last couple of years, I have been able to pull Jimmy out of bed to shop with me. Last year we had to take Hailee, but she was little and slept anywhere. This year we were lucky to have Jimmy's parents here and they could listen for her. We stopped at Sears and then went to Kohls. I love just being out in it all. I would have loved to go more places, but this year we are keeping it cheap and trying not to spend a lot on each other like past years. Self Control, this I will have to have this year, very hard for me with shopping during the holidays!!! Christmas is just around the corner. I love this time of year, it is my fav!!
