Lagoon 2010-Long post/pic overload

As I have mentioned, Hai has had her fair share of things she is scared of, one being rides. I was a little nervous to take her to Lagoon, but we had free tickets so it wouldn't be a waste of anything to take her. I had been telling her for about a week what Lagoon was and that they have these rides that we can go on. I told her about the magic dragon, the whale, the boats, and the merry-go-round. When we got there and she was awe struck. She didn't know what to think of all the things that were going on. We found our way to the pavillion to drop off our stuff and then made our way to the kiddie rides. We took her on the ones that the adults could also go on just so we were there with her.
I took her on the Tiki boat, she didn't freak out, she got on the rided and it started and towards the end she loved it. We asked her what was the next ride she wanted to go on. Since we have had this talk of the magic dragon for a few days, she was determined that that is what she wanted to see next.
Jimmy took on the ride and absolutely loved the roller coaster. We of course rode the merry-go-round many times.
By this time the rest of my family had arrived and so Hai was able to ride some of the rides with her cousins and was running all around showing them the things that she had found and loved.
We had eaten lunch and found out that my niece that is the same age as Hai rode the Tidal Wave, so we thought that we would try her out on it. She is just barely under 36'' but they let her on. She did ok with it, but didn't want to ever ride it again. Another ride that she loved was the Ladybug Bop and the Dinosaur Drop.
She went on both of these with my mom. She still talks about those two rides and how she dropped.
They had this swing type ride that went in circles, the requirement was to be 36'' to ride, they wouldn't let Hai on those at all, funny, they wouldn't let her sit in a swing that totally restrains her and go in SLOW circles, but they will let her go up in the air and drop down, they would let her go on the boat that only has a bar to hold onto and nothing straping you into the seat, still don't get it?? Anyways, it made her sad and so we went on the other rides that she loved to go on.
Hailee loved the little fountains they had in the middle of the park, they are similar to the ones at the Gateway. She ran through those like there was no tomorrow and had the time of her life. People stopped to watch her and commented on her playing in the water and how she made it look like a blast!! We played a few games and came home with a few stuffed animals, one was a pink monkey that is just about the same size as her. She loves to carry that thing around. We rode a few rides, I am either just getting old or they sped up some of the rides, cause they seemed to really go fast. I rode on the Wicked, lets just say my voice wasn't of much use afterwards from the screaming I did. It's name really fits the ride!!! We had such a great time spending with family and making such great memories together!! Hai can't wait to go back!!

Looks like a ton of fun! Bryson keeps asking where his cousin is - we'll have to figure out a way to come out again soon :)
