Our 4th of July- lots of pics

We had a great and busy 4th this year. With everything being celebrated on the same day, we packed everything in that one day. We started off with the usual Copperton races,
Hailee actually ran the race this year and they gave all the little kids 50 cents. Not much, but to her it was the best thing ever.
I even ran a couple of races this year too. I took third place in the shoe scramble. Note: don't wear gray flip flops like everyone else.

After a filled morning, we went to catch the Magna parade.
We had the best spot, at the beginning and not alot of people by us, so the kids were able to get their share of candy without a ton of kids fighting for it. We later had a BBQ with my family and then headed up to North Salt Lake for the firework show. We took glow sticks for the kids to play with while waiting for the show to start.

Silver Lake

One of our favorite things is to go to Silver Lake. Jimmy had taken Hailee on one of his days off and then we ended up going again the next day.
Hailee loved to show me everything that she saw from the day before.
I took that camera and Hailee wanted me to take her picture on just about every rock, which took a while cause the trail is lined with big rocks.

Family Reunion Yuba Lake

It was time again for the Schuring family reunion. This year we went to Yuba Lake. It was fun to have the lake there to play in.
The only thing was it was HOT!! It was fun to see everyone that you really only see twice a year when our family gets together. I love that we have such a huge family, it makes getting together that much more fun. With all of the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandkids, and great grandkids, there is over 100 of us. We had a great time!!

More Adventures

Hailee got her new "big girl" bed last month. She was so excited to have her new bed. She loved going and picking out her new bedding for it, she picked out polka-dots for her sheets.
As I get ready on the weekends, Hailee loves to be in the bathroom with me and get herself ready too. She really wanted to have her hair straightened, I didn't want to and ruin her pretty hair. I caved and straightened out her curls.
She loved it and kept telling us that she looked so beautiful. Her hair is so long too. Jimmy is the Elder's Quorum president and we had a camp-out with some of the Elders and families in our ward. It was really fun to go to and hang out with some pretty awesome people in our ward and get to know others.
The kids did sparklers, I thought that Hailee would have nothing to do with them, since she is scared of just about everything these days, but she loved them and hanging out with some of her friends. We went to a new place in Draper called Incredible Pizza. It was so much fun. It is a great place to take kids and tire them out!! Hailee played games, climbed and slided, rode the merry-go-round, drove in a car ride, and even bowled at the mini bowling.
(not the best pic in the dark with my phone)
Hailee loved the store they have with all the toys you can pick for winning tickets. We of course had our fun too, we raced in the go carts. The best part, we all ate and played for pretty cheap.

Few New Pics

We have been staying busy this last month with just daily life. We planted our garden and we are going to try something new, artichoke, we will see how that works out. Hailee is loving the warmer weather so that she can play outside. She has a couple of new friends that live on our street, but they are all older, 1st grade"ish". She loves to talk to them and everytime we go outside to do anything she has to look for them and tells me "I have to say hi to my friends". She likes to ride scooters with them and follow them everywhere, which they don't mind and actually come over and ask if she can come outside to play. Hailee is in love with the park, I don't know any two year old that isn't.

Hailee has been asking for sunglasses since the sun is always in her eyes in the car. We found some with her favorite charaters on them, Dora, Kai-Lan, Princesses, and she choose Kai-Lan. She tells people Ni-Hoa, that is how Kai-Lan says hi in chinese. She likes to role play, she has lately been telling me that she is Kai-Lan and I am Rintoo, or she is Dora and I am Boots.

One Friday Night we went with my neice, Alyssa, to her school carnival. We put Hailee on the swings that go around in a circle, thinking that she would stay on them since she likes to swing. Nope, she got in the swing and was fine and all of a sudden she freaked out and HAD to get out of there quick, then tells me that it is scary. She didn't like the blow up slides either. She has been so afraid of everything lately. I am not sure why either, hopefully it is a stage that she is going through. So at the carnival she played games and more games. She said that she liked them better and it wasn't scary. She did really well at the games, she won lots of little toys, which she loved. The funny thing was on a hard game that I didn't think that she could do since it was for older kids, she won the highest prize, a radio with headphones. She loved it. She also loved that she got a HUGE cotton candy, I love this pic of her face after she had eaten her cotton candy.

So that is what has been going on lately, not a lot, but always fun to spend time together!!
