The Cruella DeVille Dance

Hailee LOVES 101 Dalmations, her favorite part is the Cruella DeVille song, she likes to copy the charaters on the movie when they are singing the song. At the end of the DVD Selena Gomez sings a remake of the song, Hailee has came up with her dance to the song and watches it over and over. Her dance is so funny.

Silver Lake

One of our favorite activities is to go to Silver Lake. This weekend we spent most of our time there.

We went with my brother and his kids yesterday and then went again today to have another picnic. Hailee loves it there and likes to see the ducks

and see the moose when they are out. Today we decided to hike up to the other lakes that are up behind Silver Lake. It was really pretty once you got about half way up,

you could see all of Silver Lake and everything around it. The leaves look like they are starting to change too, I am way excited for them to change!!

Hailee loves to put on makeup. I have given her the containers that are empty and some brushes. She loves it and when I am getting ready she has to be right there with me and put makeup on and have her hair done.


Hailee has had her fair share of spills lately. Being independent, she wanted to walk down the stairs by herself and help me with the laundry. She does really well with going down the stairs by herself, but this time she stumbled down the stairs and hit her head and scrapped her nose. Then a few days later she was ran over by my sisters dog and landed on her head on the cement, this one was the worst she ever hit her head. She has a nice big bruise and black eye. Every time she gets hurt she wants an ice pack, it makes it feel better so she says.

Hailee modeling her new outfit from her grandma, she loves skirts and dresses and loves to dress up. She is going to be our little hair dresser. She loves to comb my hair and anyone else that she can and make it look pretty. It's funny to hear the things she says while she is combing my hair or her babies hair, she tells them to "Hold still" or to "Hang on, almost done" or "Hold on" wonder where she picked those up from?? It really makes you think about what you say to your kids when they start to repeat what you say to them. It is really funny to watch her.

Party #2

Hailee will be 2 tomorrow. We celebrated her birthday today for party #2 with my family and a few friends. When we went to get Hailee a cake at Sam's, she saw the Dora cakes and yelled "Dora", when we showed her a couple other cakes, she kept pointing to the Dora and that is what she wanted, so we had a Dora party this time around. Hailee was a little possessive of her gifts too. The other kids love to see what she opened and wanted to play with the toys, but Hailee insisted on them being hers.
